All sounds heard on this recording were made using the double bass. With effects and editing, I tried to keep the sound as characteristic of the instrument as I could. The result is meant to highlight the range and color that the bass is capable of, while creating my impression of the oftentimes austere landscape of Southern California.

The title is both in reference to the somewhat life-altering car accident I experienced on the freeway, and also literally the many concrete rivers that can be seen throughout SoCal. I appreciate everyone who has supported my music all these years, and to everyone who was there for me in recent tough times. This one is dedicated to you. Thank you.
